Privacy Policy — Learn Turkish

EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 10, 2026

How Multilingual Future LLC collects and uses personal information for international customers of our Turkish-language programs.

1. Who is responsible

Multilingual Future LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company in the United States, is responsible for the personal information described here. For any privacy question or request, including access, correction or deletion, contact us at info@multilingualfuture.com.

2. What we collect

  • Identity and contact: Name, email address and, where you provide it, phone number.
  • Enrollment details: The program, level, cohort, format and payment plan you choose; for programs involving another participant, who you are learning with; for child programs, parent or guardian details and the child's first name and age.
  • Learning information: Self-reported Turkish level, learning goals and background, placement responses, the recommended level and instructor notes relating to your instruction.
  • Placement audio: If you take the placement assessment, the speaking recording you submit, its stored location and the assessment notes made from it.
  • Onboarding answers: “How did you hear about us?” and any additional enrollment notes you give at checkout.
  • Marketing attribution: Campaign parameters in the link you arrived through (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term) and any promotion code used.
  • Transaction information: Stripe customer, session and payment identifiers, payment and plan status, the product purchased, amounts and promotion usage. We never receive your full card number.
  • Technical information: Standard request data such as IP address and browser/device information handled by our hosting and security infrastructure, plus cookies and analytics data where you have consented.
  • Communications: Consultation and contact requests, preview reservations, and emails you exchange with us.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • Delivering your program: Enrollment, scheduling, instruction, materials and program communication. Basis where GDPR/UK GDPR applies: performance of our contract with you.
  • Payments: Processing purchases, payment plans, receipts and refunds through Stripe. Basis: contract, and legal obligation for accounting records.
  • Placement assessment: Reviewing your speaking sample and responses to recommend a level. Basis: your request and, where a contract exists, performance of it.
  • Support and communication: Answering enquiries and consultation requests. Basis: your request and our legitimate interest in responding.
  • Security and fraud prevention: Protecting accounts, payments and infrastructure. Basis: legitimate interests.
  • Analytics and advertising measurement: Understanding how our pages and campaigns perform. Basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner where consent is required.
  • Legal and accounting obligations: Keeping the records the law requires. Basis: legal obligation.

We do not rely on consent for everything. Operational information needed to deliver a purchase is collected on the basis of the contract, regardless of your cookie choices.

4. Service providers we use

  • Stripe: Payment processing. Receives your name, email, purchase and payment data.
  • Supabase: Database and file storage for enrollment records, placement requests and placement recordings.
  • Resend: Delivery of transactional email such as confirmations and program communication.
  • Lovable: Application hosting and the infrastructure this site runs on.
  • Google (Meet, Classroom): Live class delivery and, for some programs, materials. Receives the information needed to admit a learner to a session or class space.
  • Mural: Collaborative activity boards used in some programs.
  • Google Analytics: Website analytics. Loads only if you consent to analytics cookies.
  • Meta (Facebook) advertising tools: Campaign measurement, where configured. Loads only if you consent to advertising cookies.

Not every provider receives every category of data; each receives only what is needed for its function. We do not sell personal information.

5. International transfers

Multilingual Future is based in the United States, and personal information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers of personal information, we use legally recognized safeguards available to us and our service providers, such as adequacy mechanisms, contractual protections, or other approved transfer mechanisms.

6. How long we keep information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing services, maintaining appropriate business records, resolving disputes, and satisfying legal, tax, accounting, security and regulatory obligations. In practice we apply the following periods.

  • Financial, payment, tax and accounting records: Up to 7 years after the relevant transaction, or longer where legally required.
  • Enrollment and program-administration records: Up to 3 years after the learner's last participation or meaningful interaction with us. This includes the enrollment answers given at checkout.
  • General customer-service communications: Up to 2 years after the matter is resolved, unless longer is needed for an active account, a dispute, a fraud or security issue, or a legal obligation.
  • Placement audio recordings: Deleted within 90 days after the placement decision, unless you validly request earlier deletion, the recording is temporarily needed to resolve an active placement issue, or a legal obligation requires longer retention.
  • Placement result (educational placement record): Up to 3 years after the learner's last participation, so returning learners do not have to repeat placement unnecessarily.
  • Child instructional information: Kept to a minimum and retained only as long as reasonably necessary to deliver the program, and for up to 2 years after the child's last participation, unless a shorter period is appropriate, the parent or guardian validly requests deletion where legally available, or law requires longer. Parent payment and accounting data falls under the financial-record period above.
  • Cookie and analytics data: Held for the durations set by the analytics and advertising providers described in the Cookie Policy; Google Analytics identifiers can persist for up to two years. Nothing non-essential is collected before you consent.

7. Placement assessment and audio recordings

The placement assessment is optional and complimentary. If you submit a speaking recording, it is used for one purpose: assessing your Turkish level so we can recommend the right program or cohort.

  • Storage: Recordings are stored in a private, non-public storage bucket.
  • Upload and access: Uploads use short-lived links generated by our server. There is no public URL, no directory listing and no access from one learner to another learner's recording.
  • Who can listen: Only the Multilingual Future staff involved in placement, through restricted, time-limited access links.
  • Deletion: Recordings are deleted within 90 days after the placement decision. You can also ask us to delete your recording sooner at info@multilingualfuture.com; we will do so unless we must retain something for a legal reason or to resolve an active placement issue.

8. Children

Child programs are purchased and managed by a parent or legal guardian. See the Children's Privacy Notice for what we collect about a child learner and why.

9. Cookies and tracking

See the Cookie Policy for the categories we use and how to change your choice. Analytics and advertising tools do not load before you consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time through Cookie Settings in the footer.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your information, correct it, ask for deletion, restrict or object to certain uses, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent where we rely on consent, and complain to your data-protection authority.

To exercise a right, email info@multilingualfuture.com from the address you enrolled with. We may need to verify your identity, and some information must be retained for legal or accounting reasons.

11. Marketing email

Buying a program does not sign you up for promotional email. Transactional messages about your enrollment are part of the service. Any promotional email is separate and optional, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

12. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, re-request cookie consent.
